Ltv has been operating in Spain since 2008. Today, from the 9,500 screens located in the more than 10,500 points of sale of the commercial network of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado, Loterías corporate content is broadcast (upcoming games, special jackpots, draw results, etc.), making it possible to give a closer, more transparent, reliable and innovative image of games of chance, as well as promotions from other companies or information of public interest.

In more than 90% of the basic points and in more than 70% of the mixed points there is a TV screen installed. This concept of Digital Signage or dynamic marketing is of great application within the retail world, as it offers advantages such as the great ease of segmenting the public to whom the desired message is addressed, the great effectiveness due to the high number of impacts (more than 5 milion people a week recognise having seen and remember LTV contents) or the saving in traditional signage

Loterías Televisión is the result of the combination of several technologies: communications, specific computers, video displays and multimedia hardware and software elements that nowadays allow content to be generated quickly and affordably, providing remote management of all the hardware elements that make it up, communicated through IP lines with SELAE's central systems. This same platform is prepared to deal with all types of multimedia contents curremtly in use and also includes the possibility of future formats.

As a product, it requires the application of multidisciplinary techniques, typical of the world of cinema or commercial TV , ranging from creative design to specialisation in systems and communications. At the same time, it combines the virtues of three of the most relevant media: television, outdoor advertising and point-of-sale advertising, offering a faster response to market demands.

In addition to informing and entertaining, Ltv is a very efficient medium for ‘brand promotion’ actions,as it captures the public at moments of high availability, obtains quick results in terms of impact and is an ideal medium to reinforce brand awareness and image at the point of sale. The penetration of the medium exceeds 12% of the Spanish population over 20 who remember having seen content on the LTV channel, according to the General Media Study (EGM, by its initials in Spanish).

The screen can be subdivided into several fragments, in order to communicate differente messages, in short periods of time.
It is possible to define several different content broadcasting circuits. It is also possible to change the content according to days, time slots, location, etc.

Live broadcasts of events determined by Loterías del Estado, including the Lotería Nacional draws on Saturdays and the special Christmas draw.
Ltv is managed by a specialised and multidisciplinary group within SELAE, which takes care of the whole process of the channel: from its start-up, content preparation, sending and broadcasting control, to all the logistical support and maintenance control involved in a network of this size.
