¿What is the 2030 Agenda?

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is an action plan that stems from the commitment of 193 member states of the United Nations. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda pursue equal opportunities among PEOPLE  the protection of the PLANET and the generation of PROSPERITY in a world in PEACE that works in partnership to overcome the challenges we face. The SDGs and the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations, to which Spain has been committed since 25 September 2015, offer a new narrative with which to design and build the world we want, where no one is left behind.

This plan addresses 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which in turn are divided into 169 goals to be achieved.

The SDGs, also known as Global Goals, are based on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), but go much further.
