La Zarzuela racecourse

Sociedad Estatal Loterías y Apuestas del Estado, S.M.E., S.A.and Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI, a state-owned industrial holding company) are the owners of the La Zarzuela racecourse. SELAE owns 4.22% of the shares of this racecourse.

 

Every year SELAE participates, through its financing, in the development of Spanish horseracing, an activity that generates a great deal of employment, mostly in the primary sector (agriculture and livestock breeding) and services sector.
