Ibero-American Corporation of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado (CIBELAE)
The Ibero-American Corporation of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado (CIBELAE), of which LAE is part, was created in October 1998. It is an international non-governmental, non-profit organisation with a regional focus, created under the legal status of civil association with an unlimited duration.
Its primary goals are:
- Drive and promote the carrying out of activities, studies and research on topics that are considered to be of interest for the improvement, modernisation and optimisation of the State Lotteries.
- Foster the integration of its members, strengthening the links between organisations.
- Encourage the signing and improvement of agreements, including partnership agreements, between its partners, as well as other institutions with the same goals.
- Advise on and promote the adoption of similar legislative policies for the regulation and control of the leisure activity by States to which the members belong.
- Organise courses, meetings, seminars, conferences, gatherings, etc. related to the specified fields and promote the coordination of these activities so that members can exchange information and share experiences.
- Promote the execution of international agreements between the States to which the member bodies belong, or the codes of conduct between these, aimed at territorial or jurisdictional preservation in the operation of games of luck and chance, as well as the establishment of common policies to fight illegal gaming.
